About Us

Spot’s Place is a registered 501(c)(3), foster-based dog rescue dedicated to helping homeless adult dogs from Massachusetts and select Southern shelter partners.

The need to get adult dogs out of shelters here in Massachusetts is at a crisis level. Many of the dogs we help come from backgrounds of neglect, abandonment, abuse, or long-term shelter stays. Spot’s Place provides a safe, loving “place” where these dogs can finally decompress and begin to heal.

As a small, intimate rescue, we believe strongly in quality over quantity. We intentionally keep only a few dogs in our program at a time so each dog receives the patience, training, structure, and love they deserve. Once a dog enters our program, our commitment is to help turn the page - ensuring they leave us in the best place they’ve been in a very long time, with their forever home as the next chapter.

Founded by Molleen, Spot’s Place is built on compassion, advocacy, and lifelong support for both dogs and adopters. We are committed to making a real difference, one dog at a time.
